LaBelle is an artist, writer and theorist. His artistic work explores questions of social life and cultural narratives, using sound, performance, text and sited constructions. Current research projects focus on “voicing and the choreography of the mouth”, “sonic materiality and auditory knowledge”, and “the aesthetics and politics of invisibility”. His artistic work has been presented in galleries and museums across the world, including the Whitney Museum, NY and ICC, Tokyo.
