Since this year AADR has two new distributors: Actar Distribution and MHM Limited.
Actar Distribution is dedicated to exploring the culture of architecture, urbanism and landscape through innovative design, theory, criticism and pedagogy.
Actar focuses on the work and research of established and emerging practitioners, professors and thinkers. These include Charles Waldheim, Neil Brenner, Kiel Moe, Abalos+Sentkiewicz, Alejandro Zaera-Polo, AKTII, Farshid Moussavi as well as Lateral Office, Pezo von Ellrichshausen, ODA, nArchitects, LAN, Rania Ghosn & El Hadi Jazairy, Daniel Ibàñez, Mimi Zeiger and others.
In addition to researching architecture, Actar also participates in the publication of journals such as Bracket, New Geographies and Kerb. These publications develop from the interface of architecture, landscape, environment and digital culture.
Since 2015, Actar’s new digital platform urbanNext has been shaping and expanding architecture and design practice to rethink cities. Through it Actar produces new tools for their global dissemination with new impulses, new proposals and new goals to expand architectural publishing.
In addition to its own publications, Actar Distribution, “Actar D,” represents premier architecture publishers to the book trade in the Americas. Actar Distribution is also co-editor of renowned architecture schools such as Harvard University Graduate School of Design, Architectural Association School of Architecture – London, Yale School of Architecture, Columbia Graduate School of Architecture Planning and Preservation and Cornell University.
