Research in Architecture

A milestone publication about Research in Architecture at the TU Berlin, edited by Jörg Stollmann, Jessica Bridger, and Johannes Cramer. The question, what is research in architecture, is one of the most topical concerns in the discipline and practice of architecture today. This book addressing research in architecture and urbanism emerging out of TU Berlin documents a number of projects that share a vision of how knowledge gathering and production can impact on our everyday environments. Four strategic research clusters – City, Energy, Heritage, and Research by Design – provide a framework for both experimental and applied research. Contributions include the work of interdisciplinary teams and extend beyond the typical boundaries of architectural academic or professional practice.

A must for architecture undergraduate and postgraduate students, researchers as well as practitioners.
